You can argue that Erik Bakich may have exceeded expectations during his first season at Clemson. The Tigers were picked fifth in the preseason Atlantic Division poll and were on the outside looking in at the preseason Top 25 polls. Instead, Clemson won 44 games, finished 20-10 in the ACC, and claimed the ACC tournament championship.
However, the Tigers’ season ended with consecutive losses to Tennessee and Charlotte in the Clemson Regional, so there’s still unfinished business for Bakich as he begins year two with the Tigers.
On Friday, he visited with the media to preview the start of spring practice and the upcoming season, which begins on February 16th at home against Xavier.
