USC returned to the practice field Tuesday morning for the first time since Saturday’s major scrimmage. Camp is beginning to wind down for the Gamecocks and a greater emphasis will be placed on game prep for Georgia State moving forward.
Head coach Shane Beamer met with the media Tuesday afternoon for his first weekly press conference and announced veteran TE/WR Chad Terrell had suffered a third torn ACL and would be lost for the season. He also said the only other players he’s concerned about for the opener are running back Christian Beal-Smith and punter Kai Kroeger. Both are dealing with foot injuries, and both could be ready by September 3rd.
Beamer added there is no concern with the health of running back Marshawn Lloyd. He practiced Tuesday morning and is fully over his foot injury.
