#Clemson baseball coach Monte Lee joins #SportsTalk to chat about the Tigers (AUDIO)

After opening the season 14-0, the Clemson baseball team has hit a few speed bumps. Since the middle of March, the Tigers have gone just 3-7, including 1-4 in ACC play. Two of those league losses occurred last Friday when the Tigers dropped a doubleheader at Pittsburgh 8-0 and 10-7. The scheduled third game of the weekend series was canceled due to wintry weather in Pennsylvania. On Tuesday, Clemson bounced back with a 9-3 victory over Winthrop, handing head coach Monte Lee his 500th career victory in 14 seasons as a head coach.

This weekend, the Tigers square off with NC State in a huge ACC series at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. After reaching the College World Series last year, the Wolfpack has posted a 16-8 overall mark but is just 4-4 in conference action. First pitch for Friday’s game is set for 6pm, as is Saturday’s matchup. The series concludes at 1pm on Sunday.

Wednesday night, Lee joined #SportsTalk to discuss his team’s recent struggles, his 500th career victory, and how he he’ll refer to a wrestling tag-team in an effort to motivate the Tigers on their upcoming road trips.
