Chennis Berry Jaron Kilpatrick Mitchell Romig
Chennis Berry came to Benedict as the Tigers’ new head coach in February of 2020. He’s yet to coach his first official game. The former offensive coordinator at Southern saw the 2020 fall season wiped out by Covid. There was no spring season, so on September 4th, Berry finally will coach his first game in Columbia. And it will come against the school greatest rival, Allen University, in a revival of a series dormant since 1966.
Our tour stop Tuesday night was at Benedict and we met with Coach Berry along with starting center Mitchell Romig and starting nickel Jaron Kilpatrick.
