The “Palmetto Pigskin Tour” cruised down to the “Grand Strand” on Wednesday to check out the nationally ranked Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. Coastal is coming off a historic 2020 season, in which the Chanticleers claimed the Sun Belt Conference regular season title. Coastal also made its first ever bowl appearance and finished the year ranked in the “Top 25”.
With the majority of last year’s squad returning, including starting quarterback Grayson McCall; the question is, what can the Chants do for an encore? We’ll start getting some answers on Thursday, September 2nd as CCU kicks off the season against instate rival The Citadel at Brooks Stadium in Conway.
