The dead period is over, and a one-week quiet period began Sunday, and just like when a quiet period began June 1st, some prospects are scrambling to get in one or more visits before football practice begins in August. Clemson is hold its annual cookout for commitments and uncommitted primary targets Sunday. Three of the top uncommitted prospects on the Tigers’ board who will attend are TE Oscar Delp of Cumming, GA, WR Andre Green Jr. of Richmond and CB Jeadyn Lukas of Mauldin.
For Delp, the Clemson visit will be the only he will make this week. Delp also was invited to the USC and Georgia cookouts July 31st, but since both are on the same day, and both are high on his list, he decided not to go to either out of fairness to each. Delp also visited Clemson June 3rd. He took official visits in June to Georgia, Florida, Michigan and USC and went unofficially to Alabama.
Greene camped at Clemson on June 10th. In June he made official visits to Georgia, Oklahoma and Oregon, and he has one scheduled for Notre Dame on October 1st. Also this week, Greene said he will visit Penn State, LSU and North Carolina. He plans to name a top six the following week with a decision in the fall.
Lukas has had Clemson, North Carolina and Ohio State as his favorites and may be planning to announce before the month is out. He also visited Clemson for the spring game in April and June 11th for the Elite Retreat. In June, he also took and official visit to North Carolina.
2023 QB LaNorris Sellers of South Florence committed to Virginia. He also had offers from Virginia Tech, Washington State, Georgia State and Appalachian State.
USC offered 6-6 Ryan Dunn of Pennsburg, PA. He’s rated a 3-star and ranked the #48 SF nationally in the 247Sports Composite. Some of his other offers are Boston College, Pitt, Cal, Georgia Tech, Marquette and Oklahoma State.
2023 SS Samuel Stafura of Lake Mohegan, NY committed to Clemson.
