Smith tames Harbour Town for first round lead in RBC Heritage (AUDIO)

Australian Cameron Smith fired a career best nine under par 62 at Harbour Town Thursday to take a one shot lead after the opening round of the RBC Heritage. Smith leads two time Heritage winner Stewart Cink by a shot. Smith finished his bogey-free round with flair, holing out from the bunker for birdie at #17 and hitting his approach on #18 to within five feet for birdie.

Collin Morikawa and Matt Wallace share third at 65. Charles Howell III, Billy Horschel and Harold Varner III are at 66.

Clemson’s Lucas Glover leads the state contingent with a four under 67. USC products Matthew Nesmith and former champion Wesley Bryan turned in three under par rounds of 68.
