#STRecruiting: Four-star quarterback on visit to #Gamecocks Friday

Braden Davis at USC

USC is continuing to work the 2022 quarterback market and the Gamecocks have put some strong attention on Braden Davis (6-5 184) of Middletown, DE. Davis has connections to Gamecock running back Marshawn Lloyd and linebacker Deebo Williams who both hail from Delaware.

Friday Davis made a personal visit to USC. Davis tweeted Thursday a decision from him might not be far off. He was offered early by Clemson but the Tigers went in another direction with their quarterback recruiting.

He also has offers from Duke, NC State, Maryland, Washington State, Alabama, Florida, Oregon, Penn State, Virginia Tech, Auburn, LSU, Georgia, Tennessee, West Virginia, Michigan State, Stanford, Florida State and Arkansas.

Davis moved to Florida for the 2020 season but suffered an ankle injury in the third game and returned to Delaware. In three games he was 21-47 for 261 yards, 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions, and he rushed for 44 yards and 2 scores.

His father is Antone Davis, former All-American offensive lineman at Tennessee and the #8 pick in the 1991 Draft.

Davis is rated a 4-star in the 247Sports Composite and ranked the #6 dual-threat quarterback in the 2022 class.
