Football returns to Erskine College this fall for the first time since 1951, and coach Shap Boyd knows this first team will be a work in progress as the season unfolds. The Flying Fleet got to spend the fall of 2019 practicing, but they had no spring practice and, of course, no off-season work with the coaches. So, they will be a great unknown when they play their first game September 5th against Catawba College at Greenwood High’s Babb Stadium. Recently Coach Boyd joined us on SportsTalk to talk about his new program during these uncertain times.
