Clemson junior forward Aamir Simms Tuesday night announced he is going to explore his options related to the NBA Draft. The 6-8 native of Virginia posted his plans on Twitter, adding that he will not sign with an agent and thus retain his option to return to school for his senior season. If Simms does not return, Clemson coach Brad Brownell would have one scholarship available for the 2020 class.
Simms had his best season at Clemson this past season earning third-team all ACC honors. He averaged 13 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, both career highs. He shot 47% from the floor, 40% from three and 70% from the foul line.
For his Clemson career, Simms has averaged 8 points and 5 rebounds per game in 98 games, 76 of them as a starter.
