STRecruiting Notebook 4-16: Clemson OL target to announce Friday; USC predicted to land a big from the Big 10

Clemson target OL Jimmy Kalls of Pittsburgh will announce on Friday. Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, Texas, Miami and LSU are the finalists.

South Carolina target CB Josh Dobson is on his visit to Michigan today. He’s also been to Clemson, Texas Tech, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Miami and Auburn. He is scheduled for LSU on Saturday. He has officials set with the Gamecocks, Auburn, A&M and LSU.

CB Davion Jones of Cornelius, NC gave 247Sports his updated official visit list. He had considered Clemson for May 29th but never locked that down, and now has Georgia on that date. Following will be visits to Auburn, LSU and South Carolina. He’s visited all four this spring.

2028 OT Ty Winn of Philadelphia plans to visit South Carolina for the junior day May 17th.

Clemson target OL Carter Jones has set an official visit to Georgia for April 17th.

Clemson target 2028 TE Lee Steele visited Auburn on Thursday.

Louisville offered 2029 QB Bear Woods of Westside.

Clemson offered DE Elijah Cox (6-5 230) of Atlanta who was in for a visit with the Tigers recently. He’s the second defensive end offer by the Tigers in as many days. He has official visits set with Florida State for June 19th and for Ole Miss on June 19th. Cox also has an offer from South Carolina and has made multiple visits with the Gamecocks. He also has offers from Georgia Tech, Tulane, Wake Forest, Kentucky, Missouri, Purdue, Baylor and East Carolina.

DT Antwan McKoy of Saint Pauls, NC, told Chad Simmons of Rivals that he favors South Carolina and Georgia at this point. He has officials to Georgia on May 29th and to USC on June 12th.

LS Brayson Albin of Madison, AL received an invite to camp from South Carolina. He also plays tight end.

South Carolina target OL Dewey Young was offered by Syracuse.

Byrnes CB Aidyn Wiggins was offered by Syracuse.

Basketball News

Jamie Shaw has predicted South Carolina to land 6-10 Aleksas Bieliauskas of Wisconsin.

South Carolina is to get a visit from guard Cruz Davis oit of Hofstra according to Joe Tipton. He was the CAA Player of the Year after averaging over 20 points, five assists and four rebounds per game. He has visited Texas Tech and is also looking at Kentucky and Grand Canyon.

South Carolina is still in the mix with free agent guard Rowan Brumbaugh. Jon Rothstein reported that Brumbaugh has USC, Indiana, Maryland, and SMU as his final four.

South Carolina and Clemson apparently are in line for visits from 7-2 free agent Anton Bonke of Charlotte, according to Jeff Borzello. He was at Kansas on Wednesday and plans to visit Michigan State on Friday. Cincinnati and NC State are also in the mix.

South Carolina free agent target 6-10 Alvaro Folgueiras of Iowa is reported by Louisville-based reporter Mike Rutherford as favoring Louisville at this point.

South Carolina free agent target guard Karter Knox of Arkansas committed to sign with Arkansas. He’s the brother of former Gamecock guard Kobe Knox.

Guard Bryce Lindsay, who was once committed to South Carolina under Frank Martin, is moving from Vanderbilt to Indiana.

South Carolina men announced the signing of free agent guard Kory Mincy.

South Carolina women announced the signing of long-committed guard Jerzy Robinson.

Former Clemson forward Jake Wahlin is returning to his home state of Utah and signing with BYU.

6-4 Clayton Everett of Ashley Ridge committed to SC State.
