STRecruiting Notebook 4-15: Clemson offers Alabama DE; Tigers miss on TE target; In-state RB names a top five

In a story by Rivals, DT Antwan McKoy of Saint Pauls, NC said he favors South Carolina and Georgia at this point. He has officials to Georgia May 29th and USC June 12th.

Clemson on Tuesday offered DE JiQuan Rogers (6-3 220) of Birmingham. He also has offers from Southern Miss, Georgia Southern, Western Kentucky, Arkansas State, Middle Tennessee State, Kennesaw State, Tulane, and others.

Clemson target TE Grant Haviland of Milton, GA committed to Vanderbilt.

Clemson is in the final five with OL Elijah Morrison (6-4 305) of Dacula, GA. The others are Georgia, Auburn, Florida State and NC State.

OL Stafford Willis of Arab, AL on Tuesday made his second visit of the spring to South Carolina. He also visited in early March.

Woodruff RB Aiden Gibson named a top five of South Carolina, North Carolina Rutgers Louisville and Penn State.

CB Aidyn Wiggins (6-1 182) of Byrnes picked up offers from Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. He had 17 pass deflections last season. He also has offers from Coastal Carolina, Duke, Ole Miss, Appalachian State, North Carolina, Army, East Carolina, Wake Forest, Cincinnati and NC State.

CB Joshua Dobson, formerly of Catawba Ridge, will visit Michigan on Thursday.

2029 DB Taddrick Gibson of Dutch Fork was offered by Penn State.

Former Clemson forward Jake Wahlin is returning to his home state and has agreed to a free agent deal with BYU.

South Carolina announced the signing of free agent guard Kory Mincy.

South Carolina women announce the signing of long committed guard Jerzy Robinson.

Per Jeff Borzello, South Carolina and Clemson apparently are in line for visits from 7-2 free agent Anton Bonke of Charlotte. He was at Kansas today and goes to Michigan State on Friday. He’s also looking at Cincinnati and NC State.

South Carolina free agent target 6-10 Alvaro Folgueiras of Iowa is reported here as favoring Louisville at this point.

South Carolina free agent target guard Karter Knox of Arkansas committed to sign with Arkansas. He’s the brother of former Gamecock guard Kobe Knox.

USC portal target 7-2 Samet Yigitoglu has committed to Indiana.

Clemson free agent target 6-11 Boden Kapke visited Nebraska on Tuesday.

6-6 Cayden Vasko of Wofford committed to UCF.

Former Ridge View guard 6-4 Korie Corbett, now at Oak Hill Academy, committed to UAB.

Charleston Southern guard 6-4 A’lahn Sumler is signing with Pitt.

Furman guard 6-4 Eddrin Bronson committed to The Citadel.

Free agent 6-6 Jaevuan Alston of Mount Olive committed to Coastal Carolina.

Free agent forward 6-10 Logan Duncomb is heading from Winthrop to Notre Dame.

5-8 free agent Mackenzie Nelson of Virginia Tech committed to Clemson.

Visiting South Carolina on Tuesday were Texas free agent guard 6-0 Jordan Lee and former Tennessee signee 6-3 Oliviyah Edwards.
