



#17-Clemson 3 — Army 2 (Game Summary)
- Today’s game was the first ever meeting between Clemson and Army in baseball
- Army got on the board first with an RBI single in the top of the second to lead 1-0
- The Black Knights increased the lead to 2-0 in the 7th on a solo HR from catcher Jack Quinlan
- The Tigers tied the game on a 2-run HR from Jacob Jarrell in the bottom of the 7th
- Clemson got the game-winning hit in the bottom of the 8th inning on an RBI double from Nate Savoie
- Savoie led the Tigers with three hits
- Aidan Knaak got a no decision in his season-opening start for the Tigers. The right-hander gave up just 1 run (0 ER) on 3 hits with 6 K’s in three innings on the bump. Joe Allen tossed the final 1 & 2/3 innings to get the win for Clemson. Allen did not allow a run while surrendering two hits with three strikeouts. All told, Tiger pitching struck out 12 Army batters.
