Another candidate to tote the football in Kendal Briles’ new offense at South Carolina is Christian Clark (6-0 212) of Texas. The former Longhorn running back Friday announced his plans to join the Gamecocks through a post by Hayes Fawcett of On3. Clark is wrapping up a visit to Columbia today. Alabama reportedly was one of the schools interested in Clark this go-around after being one of his finalists coming out of high school in Arizona. Georgia, Oregon, and Florida State were the other top schools with him when he committed to the Longhorns. Clark missed all of is freshman season of 2024 with a torn Achilles. He played in eight games this season and rushed for 236 yards and two touchdowns. His best game was in the bowl win over Michigan when he rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. Clark is the third free-agent running back commit/sign with the Gamecocks and the 19th overall.
