South Carolina starting right tackle Cason Henry is transferring, according to Pete Nakos of On3. Henry, a native of Marietta, GA, was beset by injuries during his career with the Gamecocks. After redshirting in 2022, he was a starter in 2023 at right tackle, but he only played in two games due to an on again, off again knee injury.
Henry returned to health for the 2024 season and started all 13 games. He started the first four games of the 2025 season before a shoulder injury against Missouri that eventually required surgery.
Henry’s transfer news follows that of earlier this week from starting right guard Trovon Baugh.
To this point, seven Gamecocks have announced plans to transfer.
