South Carolina tight end Brady Hunt announces his return to the Gamecocks for the 2026 season

Another key piece to the South Carolina offense will return for the 2026 season. Saturday reports broke out nationally and locally that quarterback LaNorris Sellers has agreed to a third season with the Gamecocks, with his new contract still being finalized.

Saturday night, tight end Brady Hunt posted on Instagram his plans to return for the 2026 season. His return was also confirmed by GamecockCentral.

Hunt spent his fifth year in college in 2025. He began his career as a quarterback at Ball State and was redshirted as a freshman. He moved to tight end in 2022, and missed all of 2023 with an ankle injury. He arrived at USC in 2024. After missing an entire season due to injury, he has been granted a sixth year of eligiblity.

Hunt has played in 22 games with the Gamecocks and has 23 catches for 190 yards. He’s not yet scored a touchdown.
