Clemson Comes Up Short at Georgetown, 79–74, Falling Late to Hand Tigers Their First Loss of the Season

Clemson’s unbeaten run ended Saturday afternoon with a 79–74 loss at Georgetown. The Tigers held a narrow lead for much of the second half but were outscored down the stretch as the Hoyas closed the game with a decisive late run.

Carter Welling provided 14 points off the bench, while Georgetown capitalized at the free throw line, making 25 of 32 attempts to maintain control in the closing minutes. Head coach Brad Brownell used a deep rotation, but Clemson struggled to generate consistent offense late in the game.

The Tigers return to action Monday, November 17, when they host North Alabama at Littlejohn Coliseum.
