Clemson’s primary running back target, Jae Lamar (6-0 205) of Moultrie, GA, announced a commitment to Georgia Wednesday afternoon. He also considered Auburn, Florida State and Miami, the five schools he visited officially. Last season he rushed for 885 yards and 11 touchdowns. Lamar is the fourth running back in the 2026 class offered by Clemson to commit elsewhere. Javian Mallory is committed to Miami, Carsyn Baker to Florida and Jaylen McGill to North Carolina.

South Carolina target DT PJ Dean has set June 30th for his commitment announcement. USC, Georgia and Ohio State are his final three. Steve Wiltfong of On3 issued a prediction for Georgia on Tuesday night.
South Carolina is in the final three with OT Jabian Shabazz of Kernersville, NC along with Ohio State and Tennessee he told 247Sports. Shabazz also took official visits to NC State and Penn State. He said he will make his decision sometime in July. The Gamecocks are the current favorites according to the two recruiting networks.
Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons of On3 are predicting SAF Blake Stewart of College Park, GA to Clemson when he announces on July 13th. He also made official visits to SMU, Vanderbilt, Miami and Michigan.
2027 QB Jayce Johnson (6-4 210) of Valdosta, GA plans to announce on August 3rd and has South Carolina, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Florida State and Mississippi State as his top five choices. Last season Johnson passed for 1799 yards with 16 touchdowns and three interceptions, and he rushed for 318 yards and three touchdowns.
DB Jay Timmons of Gibsonia, PA, the son of Wilson High product and former NFL star LB Lawrence Timmons, flipped his commitment from Indiana to Florida State, his dad’s alma mater.

6-5 Kohn Rosario of Moravian Prep in North Carolina, who was offered early on by South Carolina for the 2026 class, committed to Kansas and will reclassify for 2025.
