The Texas to South Carolina recruiting pipeline is moving along quite well these days. On Monday, the Gamecocks landed a commitment from 2027 offensive lineman Will Endicott (6-4, 290) of Prosper, Texas. Endicott chose USC over offers from Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Wake Forest, and Baylor, among others. The Gamecocks recruited him as a center.
Endicott visited the Gamecocks the weekend of March 21st, and since then, offensive line coaches Randy Clements and Jason Smith have stayed in his ear.
“Me and Coach Clem stay in contact with texts and calls. Same thing with Coach Smith,” Endicott said. “I’m in a group chat with the offensive staff for the official visit. Just been communicating pretty frequently. Every week, it’s either phone calls or texts.”
Endicott came out of his USC visit feeling good about the Gamecocks and elevated them into a top spot on his list. The idea of committing back then flashed through his mind, but he wanted to hold off, and Clements and Smith continue to respect his position on that. And today, that patience paid off.
He is the third commitment in the Gamecocks’ class and the second from the state of Texas, joining Waxahachie (Texas) QB Jerry Meyer III and Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy S Jernard Albright.
Endicott has an official visit scheduled to USC for June 5th.
