
Well-traveled 6-9 Mike Sharavjamts plans to make his final college stop with South Carolina. The only Division One basketball player from Mongolia, Sharavjamts was announced Monday morning as a commitment to the Gamecocks by his agent through ESPN. He visited USC over the weekend.
Sharavjamts has also played college basketball at Dayton, San Francisco and Utah. In 99 games, 83 of which he has started, the big guard has averaged seven points, three rebounds and three assists per game. He is a career 41% shooter from the floor, 33% from three and 70% from the foul line.
His best season came two years ago with the Dons. He averaged nearly eight points per game along with three rebounds and three assists. He shot 46% from the floor, 36% from three and 82% from the foul line.
His career high in scoring is 19 points which came against Queens early lat season. He scored six points in a loss to Mississippi State in November. His his high mark in Big 12 Conference play was 15 points in a loss at UCF in February.
Sharavjamts is the fifth transfer and the ninth newcomer for the 2025 class.
