STRecruiting: Another transfer portal hit for Clemson coach Brad Brownell with 6-10 Jake Wahlin

6-10 Jake Wahlin is joining Clemson from Utah (Utah Athletics)

Clemson coach Brad Brownell has found the state of Utah to his liking during the transfer portal recruiting season. Monday the Tigers’ head coach landed a commitment from 6-10 forward Jake Wahlin of the University of Utah.

Earlier Brownell signed 6-10 forward Carter Welling of Utah State.

Wahlin is a native of Provo and spent two seasons with the Utes. In 53 games he averaged four points and four rebounds per game. He’s a career 45% shooter from the floor, 31% from three and 62% from the foul line.

He improved dramatically this season from his freshman campaign. He started 23 of 33 games averaging 23 minutes per game along with six points and five rebounds.

Wahlin is the Tigers’ fifth portal acquisition and he gives them a total of eight newcomers into the program.
