
Clemson opened a long homestand Wednesday afternoon by stretching their long winning streak to ten games with an 11-2 win over Presbyterian College at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. The Tigers are 12-1 and will be at home through March 26th.
PC got a two-run homer in the top of the fourth to take the lead, but the Tigers turned the game around with a six run fifth inning. The Tigers used four hits and an error to piece together the big inning.
They added four more runs in the seventh with three coming on a bases-loaded triple by Jarren Purify who had three hits and four RBIs on the day. Jack Crighton also had a three-hit day.
Seven Clemson pitchers limited the Blue Hose to seven hits. They struck out five and walked two. Chance Fitzgerald (1-0) earned the win by working three innings. He allowed two hits including the two-run homer.
