LITTLEJOHN COLISEUM: Clemson ran Florida State out of Littlejohn Coliseum after opening and closing each half in perfection. The Tigers finished the first half on a 21-12 run and opened the second half on a 10-2 run to build an 18-point lead. The Seminoles couldn’t get within ten points of the Tigers the rest of the way as Clemson coasted to a 77-57 victory, Saturday.
After Jerry Deng knocked in a two-point jumper to make it 17-15 Seminoles, Florida State missed their next three shots as the Tigers started their run. After another poor shooting performance to start the second half, Clemson built their advantage to 21 points.
Clemson has now won five straight games against FSU and their last six at Littlejohn dating back to 2019. Clemson capped off their victory with a Chase Hunter chase-down block and Jaeden Zackery corner three to put the dagger into the heart of Seminoles.
The Tigers enjoyed a big advantage from behind the arc, making 13 of 28 while the Seminoles hit just 4 of 16.
Hunter led the charge for Clemson with 25 points. Zackery made three 3-pointers and added 15 points. Ian Schieffelin had a quiet day, scoring just two points. Malique Ewin led FSU with 15 points.
Clemson (13-4, 5-1) has excelled at home this season, winning 10 of 11. The Tigers will next travel to Atlanta to face Georgia Tech at 9 p.m., Wednesday.
