#STRecruiting Notebook 8-6

On3 national analyst Steve Wiltfong proclaimed NC State as the favorite to land Clemson target SAF Jordan Young (6-0 165) of Monroe, NC. Young opted to visit State instead of the Clemson recruiting function at the end of July. He did take official visits in June to Clemson, NC State, Florida State and Michigan. He also visited Clemson for a junior day in January and a spring practice in March. NC State was the first program to offer him.

CB Onis Konanbanny of Heathwood Hall has set August 23rd for his commitment announcement. Tennessee and Florida State are his final two. South Carolina offered him, and he made some official visits to the campus, but he did not make an official visit, and he visited Tennessee during the live period the last week in July.

OT Damola Ajidahun of Duluth, GA, who was offered by USC but not pursued, committed to Georgia Tech.

USC offered 2026 WR Christian Ward (6-3 185) of Marietta, GA.

2026 Gaffney OL Scottland Dover is postponing his commitment announcement which was set for August 23rd. He has a top four of Tennessee, Kentucky, Appalachian State and Coastal Carolina.

South Carolina in the final six with 6-1 Agot Makeer of Toronto. The others are on the list are North Carolina, Kentucky, UConn, Duke and Michigan State.

USC is in the final eight with 6-2 Deniya Prawl of Toronto. The others on her list are UConn, Tennessee, Florida, Baylor, Notre Dame, Louisville and Kentucky.

6-5 Kruz McClure of Westerville, OH, who had Clemson among his offers, committed to DePaul.

USC commitment 6-8 Hayden Assemian will not play his senior season at Powdersville. He will play in the Overtime Elite league with the YNG Dreamerz. He will be the second Gamecock commitment for the 2025 class playing in Overtime Elite joining guard Eli Ellis.
