South Carolina coach Shane Beamer and quarterbacks coach Dowell Loggains knew in the offseason they need to add some age and experience to their quarterback room. They had redshirt freshman LaNorris Sellers returning and true freshman Dante Reno incoming.
The Gamecocks landed a pair of transfer graybeards in Robby Ashford from Auburn and Davis Beville from Oklahoma. Ashford is going into his fifth collegiate season and has played in 22 football games, all at Auburn. He began his career at Oregon where he never played in a football game but did play in some baseball games.
Beville is going into his sixth collegiate season with USC his third stop. The Greenville native began his career at Pittsburgh before transferring to Oklahoma. He has played in 16 games during his career.

Ashford spoke one-on-one with us Thursday at the USC media day.
