CHARLOTTE: ACC Commissioner Dr. Jim Phillips held center stage in Charlotte Monday with his opening remarks at the annual ACC Kickoff. Phillips spent a large portion of his message extolling the successes of his league and pledging continued financial growth. He also addressed the league’s civil war with Clemson and Florida, both suing the league as part of an effort to exit without penalty. The league is countersuing.
