For the second straight Transfer Portal season, Clemson and one of its ACC rivals are “trading” players. Last year, Clemson forward Ben Middlebrooks transferred to NC State, and Wolfpack forward Jack Clark transferred to Clemson.

Zackery is a native of Salem, WI who started his career at Chipola JC, FL. In three seasons with the Eagles, Zackery had career averages of 11 points, three assists and three rebounds per game. He shot 46% from the floor, 41% from three and 77% from the foul line.
Clemson coach Brad Brownell has gotten a good look at Zackery over the years. This season, Zackery scored 18 points and six assists in 36 minutes in a loss to the Tigers. The previous season in a win at Clemson, Zackery scored 13 points and grabbed four rebounds. And in two games against the Tigers in 2022, Zackery combined for 20 points and nine rebounds.
