#STRecruiting: #Gamecocks stay hot with commitment from DT Caleb Williams

South Carolina has been one of the big recruiting winners in the month of April thus far, and the Gamecocks added another highly recruited prospect Sunday afternoon in DT Caleb Williams (6-6 250) of Chesterfield, VA. Williams was in for the spring game Saturday night.

Williams also visited USC to watch a spring practice earlier in April. He was offered by Gamecocks defensive tackles coach Travian Robertson last April, and the Gamecocks made him a top target from there.

He also had offers from Tennessee, Minnesota, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, Kentucky, Pitt, Penn State, Wisconsin, LSU and others.

Williams has an official visit set with USC for May 31st. He had also set officials for the following three weeks with Minnesota, Tennessee and Virginia Tech.

Last season Williams had 95 tackles with 15 sacks. For his career he has 162 tackles with 28 sacks.

Williams is the sixth commitment for the Gamecocks’ 2025 class and the second from the state of Virginia in as many days.
