
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, freshmen weren’t eligible to play varsity football during their first year in college. Those rules have since changed, and, much like in Star Wars, the Republic is a better place for it. Avieon Terrell is one who would certainly agree.
The sophomore cornerback is one of just six true freshmen who appeared in all thirteen games last season for Clemson. He was credited with 18 tackles, six pass break-ups, and one interception as he earned five starts for the Tigers in 2023. Now that Sheridan Jones and Nate Wiggins are testing the NFL waters, Terrell’s role is expected to increase.
The Atlanta, Georgia, native met with the media on Monday to update Clemson spring football and the progress his side of the line of scrimmage is making. He also updated his recent bumps and bruises, along with handing down an opinion or two on how the Clemson offense is progressing.
