Powdersville’s Robert Mustar and Battery Creek’s Ed Susi have been named the head coaches for the 2024 Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl. Muster will lead the North squad and Ed Susi will helm the South team.
The Touchstone Energy Cooperatives North-South Bowl will again be held at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach. This year’s game is scheduled for December 7.

Susi recently finished his first season at Battery Creek after having spent the previous two seasons at Buford. A veteran of nearly four decades, Susi also served as the head coach Fort Mill for 11 seasons and two more at Buford, as well as several coordinator/assistant stops.
Mustar has been the head football coach at Powdersville since the school’s inception in 2011. The following year, the Patriots began playing varsity football. He’s led Powdersville to a 75-63 record in that span. His team advanced to the 2022 state championship.
Mustar’s North staff will include the following coaches: Scoot Watson (JL Mann); Bobby Collins (South Pointe); Grayson Howell (Pendleton); Greg Lawson (Batesburg-Leesville); Jay Brannon (Ridge Spring-Monetta); Brian Strickland (Laurens); and Billy Anderson (Byrnes)
Susi’s South staff will include the following coaches: Derek Howard (Ridge View); Shane Fidler (Airport); Cedrick Jeter (Newberry); Greg Wright (Timberland); Brandon Iseman (Latta); Randy Hilyer (James Island); and Mark McClain (Westwood);
Both staffs will meet periodically between now and October on game strategy, player evaluation and ultimately the selections of each roster, kicking things off with the Carolinas Coaches Combines, which begin this week.
