Last year USC basketball coach Lamont Paris landed the nation’s top ranked prospect in 6-10 GG Jackson of Ridge View. Can he do the same with this year’s top in-state player and top national recruit 6-6 Cam Scott of Lexington? Scott is set to make his commitment announcement at 2:00 PM Friday at his school and on YouTube. Scott made multiple visits to USC during the recruiting process including an official visit last October. He also made official visits to Auburn, Texas and Oregon. Scott has a short list of USC, Oregon, Ole Miss, Texas, Alabama and Auburn as he approaches his announcement day. Scott averaged 19 points and six rebounds per game last season when he was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in South Carolina.

USC is in the top five for DT D’Nas White (6-4 310) of Concord, NC. The others are Coastal Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida State. White made June official visits to USC and Virginia Tech.

USC and Clemson made the top twelve cut with 2025 DE Bryce Davis of Greensboro, NC. The others on his list are Alabama, Michigan, Florida, Duke, Southern Cal, Miami, North Carolina, Notre Dame Tennessee and Georgia. USC and Clemson were two of his camp stops in June.

2025 CB Blake Woodby of Baltimore has Clemson in his top twelve along with Maryland, Alabama, Oregon, Rutgers, Notre Dame, Stanford, Miami, Boston College, Tennessee, Arizona State and Ohio State.

USC and Clemson are among the top 10 with DE CJ May of Highland Home, AL. The others are Notre Dame, Tennessee, Troy, Miami, Auburn, Georgia, Ole Miss and Louisville.

USC is in the top 12 with DE Zahir Mathis of Philadelphia. The others are Ohio State, Georgia, Tennessee, Southern Cal, Florida, Alabama, Michigan, Texas AUM, LSU, Penn State and Florida State.

USC offered 2025 WR Cortez Mills of Homestead, FL.

2025 OT Peter Langi (6-5 330) of San Franciso posted on X Wednesday that he had been offered by Clemson, but that post has been deleted.
