It was a great offseason for Missouri coach Eliah Drinkwitz. He received help from his state legislature in the NIL space with a bill that will provide Drinkwitz and his coaches protection from the NCAA when it comes to certain matters of NIL. The hope, of course, is that it will be a recruiting advantage for the Tigers. Time will tell.
And despite a less than stellar record at Mizzou, time is on his side. Drinkwitz received a contract extension in November that will run through 2027 and take him from $6 million dollars this season to $7 million by ’27. Drinkwitz has yet to record a winning record in three seasons with the Tigers. He is 17-19 overall and 11-15 in the SEC.
