USC and Clemson renew their annual baseball rivalry this weekend with game one scheduled for Friday night at Doug Kingsmore Stadium followed by a game Saturday at Fluor Field in Greenville and one Sunday at Founders Park in Columbia. The weather could certainly affect the schedule Friday, much like it did in 2021 when game one at Clemson was postponed until later in the season.

USC is off to a 9-0 start and has been one of the hottest hitting teams in the country to go along with a pitching staff ERA of 2.00. Clemson, under first year coach Erik Bakich, opened the season 4-0 but has lost their last four games.

The Gamecocks will probably go with their regular weekend rotation of Will Sanders, Noah Hall and Jack Mahoney. Clemson does not plan to reveal their pitching rotation until Thursday night.

Thursday afternoon USC coach Mark Kingston met with the media in Columbia to share his thoughts on the upcoming three games with the Tigers.
