USC last played a game as a ranked team on September 8th, 2018, in Athens against third ranked Georgia. The 24th ranked Gamecocks were beaten that day by the Bulldogs 41-17 and hadn’t been seen in the polls again until this past Sunday when they popped up at #25 after the win over Texas A&M extended their winning streak to four games. The last time USC won a game as a ranked team was September 21st, 2014, when a 13th ranked USC team won at Vanderbilt 48-34.

With that history as a background, the Gamecocks are preparing this week to host Missouri for Homecoming and they are favored by 3.5 points to break a three-game losing streak to the Tigers. Tuesday several players met with the media and Wednesday the coordinators stepped up to the mic.
