USC has been able to secure an official visit during the football season from a prime defensive tackle target. Joel Stallings (6-5 310) of Richmond tweeted Monday night he will take an official visit with the Gamecocks the weekend of October 21st. That will be the weekend Texas A&M is in Columbia.
Stallings once was a Michigan commitment but he decommitted from the Wolverines in mid-January after committing November 28th. He also has set three official visits in May and June. First up will be North Carolina May 20th. He will go to West Virginia June 3rd and to Oklahoma June 10th.
This spring he’s made unofficial visits to Virginia and Virginia Tech.
In March Stallings named a top 12 of USC, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Auburn, Texas A&M, Penn State, Georgia, Oklahoma, North Carolina and Virginia.
