
Aliyah Boston was a dominant force in South Carolina’s 69-40 victory over Ole Miss at the Colonial Life Arena, Thursday. The top-ranked Gamecocks (19-1, 7-1) owned the backboards, outrebounding the Lady Rebels 47-33. South Carolina raced out to a 21-10 lead after the first quarter and never let the visitors back in the game, limiting 24th-ranked Ole Miss to 28% shooting.
Boston recorded her 13th straight double-double, scoring 22 points to go with 12 rebounds on an ultra-efficient night, hitting 5 of 9 from the floor and 12 of 13 from the foul line. Overall, the Gamecocks netted 24 of 30 free throw attempts and outscored Ole Miss 38-22 in the paint. Dawn Staley’s club will look to remain undefeated at home when they play host to Florida at noon, Sunday.
