South Pointe jumped out to a 28-0 halftime lead on Beaufort and cruised to a seventh state championship Thursday night with a 41-7 win over the Eagles in the 4A title game at Benedict College. The Stallions rolled up 566 yards and held Beaufort to 165 yards. Quarterback Zavieon McCrorey passed for 344 yards and rushed for 64 yards and two scores. It’s the first title for Stallions head coach DeVonte’ Hollomon, the former USC linebacker who coached at Beaufort before moving to his alma mater in 2019.
