
Following its 28-8 win over Georgia Southern on Saturday, the Coastal Carolina football team fell one slot to 22nd in the Associated Press “Top 25”, while remaining 21st in the coaches poll rankings released on Sunday. Georgia is the consensus number one in both polls, while Alabama and Cincinnati played leap frog in the coaches rankings. Alabama moved up to second, ahead of the Bearcats who fell to third. Oklahoma and Ohio State round out the “Top 5” for the coaches. Meantime, Cincinnati remained second in the AP, just ahead of Alabama, Oklahoma, and Oregon.
After its victory over Louisville on Saturday, Clemson received three votes for the coaches poll. The Tigers did not garner any votes to be included in the Associated Press “Top 25”.
