Offensively, the Cardinals return quarterback Malik Cunningham. The junior threw for 2,617 yards last season with 20 TDs. However, his 12 interceptions ranked towards the bottom of FBS football. As a group, UofL ranked 9th in the ACC in scoring (30 ppg), but fifth in total offense (444 ypg).
On defense, Louisville lost five of its top seven tacklers from a unit that ranked 4th in total defense in the ACC. So filling those holes will be critical for the Cardinals defensive unit.
