Clemson was made the #7 seed in the Midwest Region and Winthrop the #12 seed in the South Region for the NCAA Men’s Tournament will be begin with the First Four March 18th. The entire tournament will be played in arenas in and around the Indianapolis area.
Clemson and Winthrop will both play on Friday at times and sites to be announced. The Tigers will meet Rutgers and the Eagles will take on Villanova. Clemson was chosen as an at-large team while Winthrop was an automatic qualifier by virtue of winning the Big South Tournament Championship.
Sunday night Clemson coach Brad Brownell and players Aamir Simms and Clyde Trapp met with the media via Zoom to talk about the Tigers’ third NCAA Tournament bid during the Brownell era.
