Ger-Cari Caldwell

Northwestern WR Ger-Cari Caldwell has all the drama to himself regarding in-state 2020 uncommitted major prospects. The late bloomer is taking an official visit to Tennessee this weekend. He’s also been officially to East Carolina, Baylor and Wake Forest. And USC gets the last visit next weekend.

This week coaches from USC, Baylor and Tennessee were in the school to visit Caldwell according to his coach Page Wofford. Gamecock head coach Will Muschamp was among those to visit and the head coaches from Tennessee and Baylor are coming next week.

Muschamp and receivers coach Bryan McClendon want to add another receiver to the class after Da’Qon Stewart withdrew his pledge earlier this month. Wofford feels the Gamecock coaches have done all they can do to put themselves in a good place with Caldwell.

“They’ve done a really good job, and coach (Bobby Bentley) especially has done a really good job with him up to this point,” Wofford said. “I think they’ve done an excellent job. I don’t feel like they’ve pressured him. They’ve never said hey, we’ve offered you and you can’t anywhere. They’ve let him go and look at other places.”

Caldwell visited USC last weekend for a junior day. He carries a 3-star rating in the 247Sports composite coming off a season of 51 catches for 744 yards and 6 touchdowns.
