Texas 84-USC 75 Game Summary
- The Gamecocks got off to a great start and led by nine at 16-7 with 12:32 left in the first half, while Texas started 1-10 from the floor. The Longhorns chipped away at the lead and finally tied the game for the first time at 23-23 with 6:23 left in the half. They went on to take a four-point halftime lead at 35-31.
- The Gamecocks held tough to open the second half and took a 42-41 lead with 15:05 on a three-pointer by Eli Ellis, his only three of the game. The Gamecocks’ last lead was 44-43 with 14:32 to play.

But Swain responded again with back-to-back buckets to push the lead back to six, 74-68 with 2:26 to play.
- The Longhorns went on an 8-3 run to build an 11-point lead with 23 seconds to play, and the Gamecocks were on their way to their fourth straight defeat.
