STRecruiting Notebook 1-17: Clemson is losing a free agent linebacker signee, but apparently gaining a defensive tackle; South Carolina hosting a free agent tight end from the backyard

The reporting continued on Saturday that Clemson is going to lose free agent sigmee LB Luke Ferrelli to Ole Miss. Ironically, Ole Miss went shopping for a linebacker after TJ Dottery, a former Tiger, hit the Portal and signed with LSU. Information from Paul Strelow of TigerIllustrated and Jason Prister of the ClemsonInsider stated Ferrelli informed Dabo Swinney on Friday of his intention to re-enter the Portal. The reporting included information that Ferrelli had withdrawn from classes and turned in his school computer. Strelow reported Ole Miss made Ferrelli an offer that basically doubled what he signed for with Clemson. It remains to be seen what action Clemson may try and take considering it had the player under contract.
