South Carolina women 65-Georgia 43 Game Summary

  • Gamecocks had a slow start, trailing early 7-3, but by the end of the first quarter, they led 16-7. Georgia didn’t score for the final eight minutes. And the lead was 30-14 at the half.
  • Georgia was held to 23% shooting in the first half and 27% for the game. USC was marginally better at 38%, but was just 2-17 from three.
  • USC won the rebounding by 15, and had 16 on the offensive glass converted into 10 points. The Gamecocks outscored Georgia in the paint 38-14.
  • Joyce Edwards and Madina Okot led USC with 14 points each. Okot also had ten rebounds for her 13th double-double of the season.
  • Ta’Niya Latson returned to the lineup after missing the previous three games with an injury. He scored nine points.
  • The Gamecocks have won 20 straight over Georgia and 50 consecutive home SEC games
