South Carolina Friday night offered QB Malachi Marshall (6-2 170) of Iowa Western JC, located in Council Bluffs, IA, just across the Nebraska River from Omaha. He’s a product of South Pointe High School in Rock Hill.
Marshall was at Stony Brook in 2024 before transferring to the junior college for the 2025 season.
Marshall had a sensational season in leading the Reivers to a fourth national championship. He was named the Junior College National Offensive Player of the Year after passing for 2750 yards and 33 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. He completed 63% of his pass attempts.
Marshall, who visited USC on Friday, has also been offered by Kent State, Marshall, Eastern Kentucky, and Northern State University in South Dakota. He told Hale McGranahan of TheBigSpur he will take visits to Florida State, Kent State, and Marshall, and plans to return to USC on January 31st.
The Gamecocks’ quarterback room consists of returning three-year starter LaNorris Sellers, sophomore Jimmy Francis, redshirt freshman Cutter Woods, and true freshman Landon Duckworth.
Our first sub par recruit, what does this say about our new OC?
Correction: Iowa Western Junior College, New OC is off to a blistering start huh. I dread this coming season.
