  • Florida led 27-24 midway through the second quarter, but the Gamecocks closed the half on a 13-4 run to lead 37-31 at the half.
  • The Gamecocks led by 11 at 53-42 late in the third, but the Gators scored the final four points to make it a seven poking game going to the fourth.
  • The Gators cut the lead to five with the first basket of the fourth quarter, then the Gamecocks outscored the Gators 14-8 over the next five minutes for a 67-56 advantage. The Gators would get no closer than seven points the rest of the way.
  • Both teams shot 34% for the game. USC was 5-21 from three, and Florida was 4-23.
  • The teams combined for 41 turnovers, 21 by the Gamecocks.
  • USC won the boards by 22, and had 26 offensive rebounds leading to 20 second chance points. USC scored 34 points in the paint.
  • Raven Johnson led USC with 17 points. Madina Okot and Joyce Edwards had double-doubles with 12 & 17 and 110 & 10 respectively.
  • The Gamecocks have won 18 in a row against the Gators. They are 15-1 overall and 2-0 in the SEC and will play at Arkansas on Thursday.
