South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers, on Monday afternoon, revealed via a social media post that he will return to the Gamecocks for a fourth season in 2026. Sellers will be working with his fourth quarterback coach in as many seasons, with Kendal Briles now on board. He follows Marcus Satterfield, Dowell Loggains and Mike Shula.
Sellers will be the Gamecocks’ starter for a third straight season, and will be looking to rebound from a downturn this season compared to 2024.
In 2024, Sellers completed 66% of his passes for 2534 yards, 18 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He also rushed for 674 yards ans seven touchdowns.
In 2025, Sellers completed 61% of his passes for 2437 yards, 13 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He rushed for 270 yards, averaging two yards per carry, and five touchdowns.
Sellers was one of the most pressured quarterbacks in the country with an offensive line that allowed 43 sacks, ranking 132nd in the country. However, some of those sacks can be attributed to Sellers, who often held the ball too long, and made poor decisions in the passing game.
