  • The Rebels won their third state championship, first since 2005, and the first under fourth year coach Andrew Webb
  • Strom Thurmond led 18-0 in the final seconds of the second quarter after touchdown runs of 37 yards and 4 yards by Deonte Phillips, and a 55 yard touchdown pass to Kaleb Simpkins
  • Hampton County scored its lone touchdown on the final play of the first half, a 10 yard pass to Desmond Mathis
  • An 11 yard pass to Sha Williams late in the third quarter closed out the scoring
  • Rebels’ quarterback Brishaun Lee completed 5-7 passes for 126 yards and two scores
  • Phillips rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns
  • Hampton County running back Jaylen Singletary rushed for 150 yards on 30 carries
