6-1 Isaac Ellis of Moravian Prep in North Carolina Tuesday announced a decommitment from South Carolina and reclassified for the 2027 class. He’s the brother of Gamecock guard Eli Ellis. Ellis committed to the Gamecocks in June but did not sign during the November early signing period. At the time of his commitment, he also had offers from Oklahoma State, Murray State, Indiana State, Umass, High Point, Eastern Kentucky and Radford. Ellis is averaging 30 points per game this season, including one game of 56 points. His defection leaves the Gamecocks with one commitment in 6-2 Marcus Johnson of Cleveland.

GamecockCentral reported 2027 OT Maxwell Hiller of Coatesville, PA will be among the recruits at the Palmetto Bowl on Saturday. He also visited in March and for camp. Rivals has projected him to Alabama which has also offered his brother for basketball.
2027 DB Kennedy Green plans to visit South Carolina on Saturday.
2027 SAF Marquis Bryant of Rolesville, NC plans to make commitment announcement on December 16th. He also has Rutgers, Nebraska, Georgia, Texas A&M, North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida State, Notre Dame, NC State, Indiana and Ohio State are others on his list.
