STRecruiting Notebook 11-11: USC women land another national recruit; Wiltfong projects USC & Clemson target to go elsewhere

6-2 Kaeli Wynn from Santa Clara, CA, Mater Dei High School, Monday night announced a commitment to South Carolina.. She chose the Gamecocks over Stanford. Wynn made her official visit in September and returned for an unofficial visit in October. “I chose South Carolina because of the deep championship culture, leadership, and energy of Gamecock Nation that coach (Dawn) Staley has helped create,” Wynn told the Orange County Register. “She cares for me not just as a player but as a person and makes me feel like I am a part of their family.” Wynn averaged 17 points and seven rebounds per game last season. She suffered a dislocated kneecap in January. She returned for regional tournament play, then re-injured the kneecap while training in April. Wynn’s mother is the former coach at Washington, and also is her high school coach. She told the paper the playing status for her daughter for this season is not yet known. Wynn is the second commitment for the Gamecocks’ 2026 class.

Steve Wiltfong of Rivals is projecting major South Carolina and Clemson OL target 2027, Maxwell Hiller of Coatesville, PA, to Alabama. Hiller visited there on Saturday. Alabama also just offered his brother, high-level 2028 6-6 basketball prospect Colton Hiller.

2027 OT Joshua Sam-Epelle has South Carolina in his top ten, no surprise as he’s been big on the Gamecocks all along. The others are Miami, Georgia, Nebraska, Tennessee, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Alabama, Ole Miss and Georgia Tech. He visited Miami last Saturday.

South Carolina target 2027 OT Jordan Agbanoma of Loganville, GA was offered by North Carolina.

South Carolina and Clemson target 2027 DE Anthony Sweeney of Olney, MD visited Alabama last weekend.

Clemson and South Carolina target 2027 LB Jalaythan Mayfield of Lincolnton, NC to visit Indiana this Saturday.

2027 Byrnes RB Tre Segarra was among the prospects to visit Clemson Saturday. He was also at Clemson for the LSU game. He’s also been to games this season at USC, Tennessee and Florida.

Former Clemson commit DE Dre Quinn is down to Georgia Tech, Miami, Ohio State, Tennessee and Texas for his next commitment.

2027 CB Rodreon Cranford of Hartsville to visit Wake Forest Saturday.

DT Yendor Mack (6-3 295) of Harrisburg, PA committed to Coastal Carolina.
